Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q:  Where can I buy one?

A:  Either directly from one of our established local distributors or from us directly (see contact info).  Our distribution is growing every day, so please check our distribution page to see the latest list of distributors in your area.

Q:  How much does the Wireless RainSensor™ cost?

A:  We currently sell the Wireless RainSensor for $79.75 (list price).  We take orders by fax and phone only. We currently offer free priority mail shipping in the USA and Canada on purchases up to 19 units. Contractor and larger volume purchases are best placed through one of our local distributors.

Q:  How much money can I save by installing a Wireless RainSensor™?

A:  How much money you save really depends on a few things... How much does it rain in your area? How many gallons of water do you use per sprinkler cycle? How much does water cost in your area? In many of our test areas, we were able to save the cost of the Wireless RainSensor™ within 1 year of use. Not to mention all the clean water that was not wasted on needless watering - many sprinkler systems apply 1000s of gallons per cycle! To see if you could be saving water in your town right now, please check the latest weather.

Q:  How much time can I save by installing a Wireless RainSensor™?

A:  Compared to installing a regular, hardwired rain sensor, the Wireless RainSensor™ will likely save you at least 1/2 hour of installation time. This time savings can be as much as 2 hours for awkward installations. It's not only time that is saved - no ugly wires, no drilling, no headaches.

Q:  What other products do you sell?

A:  We currently offer a wired RainSensor™ (Price $36.00), freeze sensor options for both our RainSensors, and optional accessories such as a 120/24 VAC transformer, pipe mount adapter, and piggy back wire clips.  See our products page for more information.

Q:  How much does shipping cost?

A:  Depending on your preferred method, shipping costs vary.  Currently we offer free US Postal Service priority mail shipping in the US and Canada. To check other carriers, use zip code 08736 and a weight of 0.7 lbs per unit shipped.  Each unit is approx. 5x5x2”.

Q: I am a distributor, do you have special pricing available for large quantity orders?

A: Yes. Please contact us via e-mail, fax or phone and we will be happy to discuss distributor pricing with you, and be sure to ask us about our early order program.

Q: Can I control more than one receiver from a single transmitter?

A: Yes. Extra receivers may be purchased individually, and through a simple address learning routine, your new receiver can be "taught" the address code of your existing transmitter. (this applies to Plus models only). WRS1 model receivers must be purchased programmed to your specific code.

Q: Can I control more than one sprinkler controller with a single receiver?

A: Yes. A multiple pole relay would most likely be required with a pole for each controller, or use multiple receivers as explained above. Please consult a qualified electrician for non standard installations.

Q: I noticed that the Low Battery light flickers during activation on my WRS1, does this mean my battery is low?

A: No. The Battery Low indicator on the WRS1 model also serves as a "Valid Transmission" indicator and is designed to flicker during every transmission from the sensor. Only when the light stays lit constantly does it mean that the batteries are low and should be replaced.
